Overview
Temple are seeking an experienced and motivated Contracts Manager to lead and oversee contract delivery for our client within the flooring industry. This is a key position for a confident leader with strong negotiation, project management, and organisational skills. You’ll ensure that all projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining excellent client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the full lifecycle of flooring contracts from award to completion.
- Manage quality assurance, resource planning, and budget control.
- Conduct site inspections and monitor installation performance to ensure compliance and workmanship standards.
- Lead contract negotiations, resolving any issues or disputes efficiently.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of contracts, variations, and communications.
- Use Microsoft Project to monitor project progress and ensure timely delivery.
- Coordinate and support teams to meet programme and quality targets.
- Regularly review contract performance and implement improvements where needed.
- Provide guidance and training on best practices in contract management.
- Prepare and manage documentation using Microsoft Office applications.
Qualifications & Experience
- SMSTS, First Aid at Work, and NVQ Level 3–6 with Gold or Black CSCS card.
- Proven experience in contract management within the construction or flooring sector.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, and related tools.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple contracts simultaneously.
- Valid UK driving licence (essential for site visits).
