Exhibition stand builder
Due to expansion Unique Exhibitions are looking for Exhibition stand builders to assist in the build and dismantle of exhibition stands across the UK, and occasionally in Europe.
The role will cover the preparation, installation and dismantle of aluminium modular exhibition stands throughout UK, Europe and at other locations as required. Providing excellent standards of stand installation and dismantle. Providing on-site customer services to clients. Working in the warehouse, preparing & packing jobs, delivering consignments and any other ad-hoc duties as required by the Operations Manager.
You need to hold a clean driving license and be prepared to drive the company's 3.5T vans occasionally.
You must have the ability to work accurately under pressure and work at a good pace to meet tight deadlines.
The work will involve travel and can involve unsociable hours at weekends and late in the evenings. Typical install locations include Manchester Central/Event City, Birmingham NEC/ICC, London Olympia/Excel and Glasgow SEC.
Responsibilities
· Ensuring that job has been correctly packed and prepared prior to leaving office
· Understanding construction of stand and requesting further information when required
· Quality control
· Ensure stand build is carried out to the highest standards at all times, which includes: Carpeting and edging, installation of modular aluminium frames & graphics, installation of TV’s, Cleaning of graphics / structure / tables, lighting fixed correctly and bulbs operating, Hoovering and all other finishing touches
· Loading van correctly and strapping internal items to avoid any damage while in transit
· Make sure all items are packed correctly prior to leaving premises
· Ensuring attendance on-site at a timely manner as specified in job pack
Working on-site – Installation
· Constructing stand quickly and efficiently to a high standard
· Ensuring flooring is laid properly and cabling in the correct places
· Liaising with client where appropriate
· Noting any problems or issues with installation to later report to Operations Manager
· Getting client to sign-off the stand construction.
Working on-site – Dismantle
· Dismantling of exhibition stands
· Making sure that exhibition and all other equipment is correctly packed
· Attending stand site immediately as show closes to minimise theft
· Ensuring dismantle is completed quickly and effectively
· Reporting to Manager any lost / stolen / damaged items

Key skills/experience
· Previous experience of working within the live events and exhibition industry is desirable but not essential.
· Clean driving license.
· Be prepared to drive a 3.5T van.
. Joinery Skills would be an advantage
· Ability to read & interpret technical drawings to deliver efficient install of aluminium modular exhibition stands. - full training provided.
· Basic DIY skills in maintenance and electrical works and working with hand tools.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £35,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
