Flooring Installer (Sheet Flooring) alto Floors with cap and cove knowledge.
Duties:
- Measure and cut flooring materials to fit the designated area
- Remove existing flooring and prepare the subfloor for installation
- Install various types of flooring, such as carpet, hardwood, laminate, vinyl, and tile
- Ensure proper alignment and spacing of flooring materials
- Apply adhesive or other bonding agents to secure flooring materials in place
- Use hand and power tools to trim and finish flooring edges
- Inspect completed work for quality and make any necessary repairs or adjustments
Skills:
- Experience in flooring installation preferred
- Knowledge of different types of flooring materials and installation techniques
- Ability to read and interpret floor plans and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and precision in measurements and cuts
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Physical stamina to lift heavy flooring materials and stand for extended periods
- Good problem-solving skills to address any issues that may arise during installation
Basics plumbing skills will be required.
