Duties you will be trained to do:
- Read and interpret instruction or drawings to determine specifications and requirements
- Measure, cut, and fit flooring, vinyl, carpet/tiles, LVT, sport, laminate, safety floor
- Prepare floor to receive new flooring
- Liaise with client/stakeholder, liaise with office to update daily works
- Complete all works to meet required standards
- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time and within budget
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Skills you will develop with us:
- Proficient in following instructions
- Strong flooring techniques, tools, and equipment
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and equipment safely and effectively
- Attention to detail to ensure precise fitting of flooring components
- Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues during the fitting process
- Good communication skills to collaborate with team members effectively
- This post is for new starts looking to learn the trade, however we welcome applications for experienced fitters also
